Welcome, my friend! I’m so excited you’re here. I’ve been wanting to start this project for years and the time has finally come. Here’s a bit about me and why I’m here.
A little bit about me
I’d like to officially introduce myself. I’m Micah Hartmann — writer, graphic designer, avid coffee drinker, hiker, explorer, Jesus follower, daughter, friend, and (like you) so much more. I live in beautiful Colorado Springs where I get to watch the sunrise on Pikes Peak every morning. It never gets old.
I moved out here in 2018 from Iowa. While the Midwest is great for many reasons (lakes, the world’s best sweet corn, flower gardens, green rolling hills, bomb farmer’s markets, etc.), the weather and views here in Colorado are where it’s at. But it all depends on your cup of tea, right? Colorado isn’t for everyone (you city slickers).
A few things I love
I love to travel, visit National Parks, make new friends, and start new side hustles. I’m fascinated with small business and entrepreneurship. My heart is for the outcasts, the lonely, and the unseen. These individuals are scattered all throughout our communities. To see them, we need to keep our eyes open and look in the right places.
My hope is that more of us can stop skipping over them and start treating them as they are: precious, valuable, unique, and irreplaceable in this world. My dream is for each one of us to realize how beautiful we are — each in our own unique way.
I’ve been working in marketing for over eight years now. But my favorite projects are the CREATIVE ones and those that have more to do with helping humanity than cutting a paycheck.
I crave authenticity, and I think a healthy identity is the key to living an amazing life.
You’ll often find me checking things off my ever-growing to-do list and working my booty off to do what I do as well as I can. I love listening to podcasts, reading, watching British tv shows, and learning about mental health. Oh, and let’s not overlook the fact (yes fact) that music is a lifeline.
My mission
I believe it’s our job as humans to find the truth — no matter how challenging or unpopular the process and outcomes may be. The truth is out there. It has to be. I need to believe that, and I think that deep down you probably do too.
There are so many layers of lies and coverups masking the truth and reality of different situations. That’s one of the reasons I started this blog. I hope to uncover some of the truth you and I need to continue living and thriving in our crazy world.
The truth is out there. Let’s discover it for ourselves and those who come after us. It could change everything.
Truth leads to freedom. I believe that wholeheartedly. The truth about yourself, your past, and your future. The truth about love, hope, forgiveness, fear, pain, identity, and purpose.
I hope to share what I’ve learned already and what I’m struggling through today, all while reminding you of how perfectly radiant you are and how much you have to offer the world.
Let’s find the truth together.
